why is astoria beer garden kid friendly? (5/12/15)
Mostly because beer and children go hand in hand. Also, it abuts a schoolyard, though I’m assuming the beer garden came first. And then there are all those wonderful white landscaping rocks, which are like catnip to children.
I suppose you want to blame it on the parents, who clearly should be content to drink beer at home and never experience an outing among actual live adults in an actual live adult-like environment. Fair enough. But let me ask you this: if you had the chance to frolic in a beer garden as a child, wouldn’t that have been something magical that you would have taken with you way into adulthood? Let the children be, and allow them the beautiful scent memory of warm Staropramen on a Sunday afternoon.Posted: May 13th, 2015 | Author: Scott | Filed under: I Can Hear You . . .
