Northlandz in Flemington, New Jersey in insane/inspired — eight miles of model trains:
The great thing about the museum is that it has this brilliant dark/dystopian touch that undercuts your usual expectations of model trains. It sort of starts out sunny:
But then you notice odd touches, like a delivery truck that has run off the road:

. . . heaps of junked trains:
. . . nightmare cliff dwellings looking like something Hieronymus Bosch conjured:
