Walking the length of 125th Street in Manhattan <a href=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/11-26-04\/index.htm\">in 2004<\/a> was just to see what was there, while walking the length of it <a href=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/01-23-26\/index.htm\">on January 23, 2026<\/a> made you aware of how much of the street has evolved, so I paid more attention to the new things than I usually would have:<\/p>\n<p>The former site of Demolition Depot (which is now on 126th Street I believe) . . .<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/eastriver-park\/06216e125thst.jpg\" alt=\"Demolition Depot, 216 East 125th Street, East Harlem, Manhattan, November 26, 2004\" \/><\/p>\n<p>. . . is now this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/01-23-26\/8101-23-26.jpg\" alt=\"212 East 125th Street Between Second Avenue and Third Avenue, East Harlem, Manhattan, January 23, 2026\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the southwestern corner of 125th Street and Lexington Avenue in 2004 . . .<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/eastriver-park\/11125th-lexingtonsw.jpg\" alt=\"125th Street and Lexington Avenue, SW Corner, East Harlem, Manhattan, November 26, 2004\" \/><\/p>\n<p>. . . in May 2020 (those images are <a href=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/05-27-20\/index.htm\">here<\/a> . . .<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/05-27-20\/0205-27-20.jpg\" alt=\"125th Street at Lexington Avenue, Harlem, Manhattan, May 27, 2020, 8:52 a.m.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>. . . and today:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/bigmap\/manhattan\/uppermanhattan\/125thst\/01-23-26\/7201-23-26.jpg\" alt=\"125th Street and Lexington Avenue, SW Corner, East Harlem, Manhattan, January 23, 2026\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Corn Exchange&#8221;
