But it&#8217;s not every day that you see an old Checker Cab:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/bigmap\/citywide\/taxi\/2057thst-lexingtonavene02-02-09.jpg\" alt=\"Checker Cab, Lexington Avenue and 57th Street, NE Corner, Midtown Manhattan, February 2, 2009\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This one was waiting on the corner of 57th and Lexington this afternoon across the street from some stupid film\/television shoot &#8212; you know, the kind that you try not to notice on principle (this appeared to be several women dressed in furs in a shop window).
