{"id":265,"date":"2005-06-17T07:55:38","date_gmt":"2005-06-17T15:55:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2005\/06\/boo_freakin_hoo_lady.html"},"modified":"2005-06-17T07:55:38","modified_gmt":"2005-06-17T15:55:38","slug":"boo_freakin_hoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/blog\/archives\/2005\/06\/boo_freakin_hoo.html","title":{"rendered":"Boo Freakin&#8217; Hoo, Lady!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I can&#8217;t decide if <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/news\/regionalnews\/48567.htm\">this story<\/a> was worth registering at the Post for:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>A Queens couple claims their daughter&#8217;s memories of elementary school have been marred by a &#8220;horrible&#8221; yearbook photo, and are demanding the school recall all 200 books and replace the picture.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Maihepat, of South Ozone Park, said her 11-year-old daughter, Asheana, is so embarrassed by the &#8220;bad picture&#8221; that she has been crying and hiding her face in shame from her sixth-grade classmates at PS 121 since the yearbooks were distributed Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For the rest of her life, she&#8217;s going to have to be ashamed of that horrible picture,&#8221; Maihepat said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Twenty years down the line, she&#8217;s going to look at this book with her friends, and her friends are going to say, &#8216;What happened to you there?'&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If the Post keeps writing Onion-worthy stories like this, I might have to check them more often!
