{"id":2935,"date":"2007-11-28T07:51:52","date_gmt":"2007-11-28T15:51:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2007\/11\/makes_you_want_to_boot_to_boot.html"},"modified":"2008-01-24T10:51:45","modified_gmt":"2008-01-24T15:51:45","slug":"makes_you_want","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/blog\/archives\/2007\/11\/makes_you_want.html","title":{"rendered":"Makes You Want To Boot, To Boot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The obvious thought &#8212; look for the employee missing a foot &#8212; failed to find a match when it came to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qgazette.com\/news\/2007\/1128\/features\/043.html\">this gruesome discovery<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>A Con Ed diver vacuuming out an electrical power bay at the utility&#8217;s Astoria plant on November 21 found a human foot inside a worker&#8217;s boot, police said.<\/p>\n<p>An agency spokesperson said the diver was cleaning out the bottom of a bay at Shore Boulevard and 20th Avenue at about 10:30 a.m., when he was shocked to find the boot- with a foot in it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Something jammed the vacuum,&#8221; police sources said. &#8220;The diver picked up the item and put it in a salvage bag. When he surfaced and looked into the bag, he saw the boot. When he looked inside the boot he saw the foot.
