{"id":4053,"date":"2008-12-11T09:17:05","date_gmt":"2008-12-11T14:17:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/blog\/?p=4053"},"modified":"2008-12-11T09:17:05","modified_gmt":"2008-12-11T14:17:05","slug":"police_have_a_tough_job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/blog\/archives\/2008\/12\/police_have_a_tough_job.html","title":{"rendered":"Police Have A Tough Job"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That apparently includes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/ny_crime\/2008\/12\/09\/2008-12-09_police_taunt_subway_accuser_who_blows_ki.html\">harrassing abuse victims at their fellow officers&#8217; arraignment<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>A Brooklyn tattoo artist clapped sarcastically and blew kisses Tuesday after being taunted by supporters of the NYPD officer accused of sodomizing him with a baton.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Mineo, 24, faced off with cops when they berated him with an anti-gay epithet in a courtroom. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I relive this every day,&#8221; Mineo said. &#8220;I&#8217;m too young to be going through this. Nobody should be going through this.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Police Officer Richard Kern was formally charged with attacking Mineo and two other cops were accused of covering up the Oct. 15 subway station attack. <\/p>\n<p>Mineo, who stared down the three accused cops at their arraignment, got into a standoff with plainclothes cops, who called him a &#8220;f&#8212;-t,&#8221; said Mineo&#8217;s lawyer, Kevin Mosley.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Perhaps we&#8217;d be less likely to believe allegations of stick-sodomizing if some police didn&#8217;t act like such homophobes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That apparently includes harrassing abuse victims at their fellow officers&#8217; arraignment: A Brooklyn tattoo artist clapped sarcastically and blew kisses Tuesday after being taunted by supporters of the NYPD officer accused of sodomizing him with a baton.
