{"id":644,"date":"2006-01-31T09:46:12","date_gmt":"2006-01-31T17:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2006\/01\/the_only_arithmetic_he_ever_got_was_hearing_the_referee_count_up_to_ten.html"},"modified":"2006-01-31T09:46:12","modified_gmt":"2006-01-31T17:46:12","slug":"the_only_arithm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com\/blog\/archives\/2006\/01\/the_only_arithm.html","title":{"rendered":"The Only Arithmetic He Ever Got Was Hearing The Referee Count Up To Ten"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local 100 of the Transport Workers Union is engaged in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/local\/story\/387168p-328541c.html\">a meaningful and constructive debate with itself<\/a> as the organization develops its latest negotiating position:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>A burly transit union dissident has been charged with beating a union staffer aligned with Transport Workers Union Local 100 President Roger Toussaint, the Daily News has learned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a message for Toussaint,&#8221; assault suspect Christopher Magwood, 46, allegedly told victim James Mahoney during the incident at a Manhattan bus depot, Mahoney said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Magwood &#8212; who is about 6-feet-3 and weighs around 300 pounds &#8212; was arrested this month on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges, Manhattan prosecutors confirmed yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>He is a bus driver who sits on Local 100&#8217;s executive board.
