Knowing that they like French food, I decided to riff on some Alsatian recipes in two cookbooks I like a lot: <a href=\"http:\/\/joannathan.com\/\">Joan Nathan<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Quiches-Kugels-Couscous-Search-Cooking\/dp\/0307267598\">Quiches, Kugels, and Couscous<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Know-How-Cook-Ginette-Mathiot\/dp\/071485736X\">I Know How to Cook<\/a> by Ginette Mathiot\/<a href=\"http:\/\/chocolateandzucchini.com\/\">Clotilde Dusoulier<\/a>.
