Speaking of Quebec, they make kickass apple brandy there.\u00c2\u00a0 Here’s a way to use such ambrosia to take the edge off a cold winter’s night.\u00c2\u00a0 Calvados will do just fine if you’re not close to an SAQ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Soothing Cocktail (a tweak on the “Soother Cocktail” in Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s Guide<\/em>, 2009 Edition)<\/p>\n

1 oz VSOP Armangac
\n1 oz Apple Liqueur
\n1 oz Triple Sec
\n2 oz Lemon Juice
\n1\/2 oz Simple Syrup<\/p>\n

Shake with ice and strain into two martini glasses.<\/p>\n
