Morgan Memorial Hall of Gems, August 2, 2016

Mr. Kiddo is four now, and in the last few weeks or so he has been super interested in geology after obsessing over this NOVA series. So we went to the Natural History Museum the other day to go check out “the rocks” (read: Morgan Memorial Hall of Gems). Mr. Kiddo wanted to take the shitty camera that we inherited from some job like three jobs ago and which has been passed down to the boys to do with whatever they want. First, it has a really dirty lens:

Also, the battery was really old/dying, so eventually I just gave him the cell phone, which has actually a pretty good camera. He came up with this:

It’s fun/funny to do this — kind of like next generation big mapping — will likely do more, based on his interests . . .
